On This Day in Pop Culture History...

On this day way back in 1980, Freddie Mercury and the rest of the boys from Queen hit the number 1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 with "Another One Bites the Dust" and it stayed there for three weeks.

Dan Rather was attacked by a man in NYC on this day back in 1986, who asked "What's the frequency, Kenneth", a much publicized reference to the 1984 song of the same name by REM.

On this day way back in 1988, TNT became the fourth channel on the air for Turner Broadcasting and 30 years ago today Commando hit theaters starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
