Did you check out the premiere episode of I Am Cait last night on E!? If you somehow missed it and forgot to DVR it then check your listings because it looks like it will be rerun quite a bit this week. If you did check out the episode then you saw a newly transitioned Caitlyn Jenner meeting members of her family for the first time, as her new self. We watched as her mother and sister's came to terms with her makeover, but much of the Kardashian family was missing.
While the notion has been out there that all of the Kardashian's have handled Bruce's transition quite well and have been very supportive, the fact is that they were quite hesitant to meet Caitlyn for the first time. Jenner now admits that both Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian were steering clear of the situation. She also said that Kylie Jenner had dragged her feet but ultimately in last night's episode we did see the 17-year-old bonding with Jenner for the first time.
It's kind of ironic that while Kim Kardashian seems to be the family member that is most concerned with her image and what people think of her, she has actually been the most accepting of Jenner's transition. She and Kanye West have actually emerged as extremely supportive while the rest of the family has continued to hang back a bit.
Do you think that eventually the rest of the family will accept Caitlyn's transition enough to become a supportive part of her life again? If you did tune in to the premiere of the docuseries, what were your thoughts after watching it?
