On this date way back in 1984 a little ditty called "Footloose" arrived in theaters. It may have been 32 years ago but I actually remember the build up and excitement surrounding it to be huge. I was in 7th grade and my friends and I were obsessed with everything and anything connected to this important contribution to pop culture history.
I still have the soundtrack on vinyl and gave it a spin today. I think "Footloose" remains one of the best soundtracks ever because it's one of the few that you really can listen to all the way through.
