I think we're all pretty familiar with Whitney Houston's self-titled debut album, right? But what you may not realize is just how long it was simmering on Billboard's Hot 200 album chart before finally getting to number one on this week back in 1986. In fact, it wasn't until its sixth single "How Will I Know" was released in the fall of 1985 that the album started to pick up momentum.
