Fans of Janet Jackson were stunned when she recently announced that do to medical reasons her Unbreakable Tour would be postponed and now we're hearing that the singer's condition could be career-ending. Supposedly, a growth in her throat prompted surgery and if that growth is found to be cancerous then it's highly unlikely that Jackson would ever sing again.
According to a report by Radar Online, "Doctors found a growth on Janet’s vocal cords that could be serious,” a source close to the 49-year-old the “Control” singer told Radar. “It’s a medical condition that has to be taken care of immediately. “Hey you guys…Happy Holidays to each and every one of you! I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon,” Jackson confessed in an online post, “It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring,” she continued. “Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time…There will be no further comment.”
Jackson dropped her latest album last October and it was well-received by fans and critics alike. In recent years Jackson had drifted away from the sound that brought her great success in the 80's and 90's but on Unbreakable she seemed to recapture the old vibe, making many old fans excited for her to hit the road again.
Jackson has tried to stay as low key as possible about her current medical crisis. Do you think that she's still kind of in limbo or do you think that the songstress already knows what her health battle ahead looks like?
