Currently Booming: Angelina Jolie Admits to Problems in Her Marriage to Brad Pitt

It has been a minute since we have heard anything from Angelina Jolie but that's all about to change. The actress will be seen next month in her film By The Sea, which also stars her husband, Brad Pitt. This project was a real labor of love on Jolie's part as she wrote and also directed it. By The Sea is set in the mid-1970's Paris and follows a dancer and her writer-husband on their travels. The couple is dysfunctional and many have suspected that it might be loosely based on Jolie's own relationship with Pitt. 

The actress is currently covering the November issue of Vogue and inside is an interview that digs a little deeper into the premise of By The Sea and also the state of Jolie's current life. 

Jolie told Vogue in an exclusive interview, "The director was very focused. The actress was unstable. And the writer was deeply confused. This is the only film I’ve done that is completely based on my own crazy mind.” For years, she says, she and Brad called the script for By the Sea “the crazy one. We even called it ‘the worst idea.’  It’s not autobiographical. Brad and I have our issues but if the characters’ were even remotely close to our problems we couldn’t have made the film.”

The fact that Jolie admits to their being any problems at all in her marriage is a bit startling. Celebs like to present the illusion of perfection on all fronts so to hear her admit to issues in her marriage is almost refreshing. Jennifer Aniston's love life has been front page tabloid news since about 20 minutes after the ink on divorce from Brad Pitt became dry (nearly ten years ago) and finally, she is remarried. After years of will-they-or-won't-they Aniston married Justin Theroux on Wednesday night at her Bel Air mansion. Even her guests had no idea that they were going to a wedding. Instead they believed that they were celebrating Theroux's birthday and it wasn't until everyone had arrived that the couple spilled the beans about what the real occasion was.

Aniston has always been pretty tight-lipped about wedding plans and she and Theroux had so perfected keeping their romance private that breakup rumors seem to have surrounded them for the past two years. Now it's pretty obvious that after years of being under a microscope Aniston has really perfected the art of keeping the real details of her personal life away from the prying eyes of the press and public.

While details are minimal we know that the theme was relaxed and casual and that celebrity guests for the surprise wedding included Jennifer Meyer and her husband Tobey Maguire, Howard Stern, his wife Beth Ostrosky Stern, Samantha Ronson and photographer Terry Richardson, Friends costars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, Chelsea Handler, Jason Bateman, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Lake Bell and Scott Campbell, and Jimmy Kimmel, among others.
