Currently Booming: Jimmy Fallon's Partying Has NBC Exec's Contemplating an Intervention

While everyone seems to love Jimmy Fallon, not everyone is laughing about his recent antics. NBC's leading funny man has had three alcohol related mishaps in the last few months and various sightings seem to indicate that Fallon's drinking may have gotten a little out of control. He nearly lost a finger back in June when his wedding band got caught on a counter top and then he chipped a tooth while trying to open his medication. Another injury last week has many NBC insiders reportedly keeping a very close eye on Fallon's partying.

According to a report by New York Post, not everyone is amused. "It’s the party guy’s third injury in four months, and sources say NBC is worried that Fallon’s drinking has turned excessive. And while they’re not doing anything about it — yet — “It’s gone from being a whisper to a chatter,” says one industry insider of Fallon’s over-the-top behavior. The consecutive injuries come on the heels of a seemingly endless parade of Page Six mentions chronicling the after-hours antics of the host, who is married to Nancy Juvonen (co-owner with Drew Barrymore of the production company Flower Films) and has two daughters, both under 2 years old."

While the network has reportedly not stepped in with an intervention yet, everyone seems to agree that Fallon is a bit of a mess. He's relatively young in the business and the money and power at stake is huge so the comedian is reportedly dealing with things by leaning on booze. There are a multitude of stories out there about his hard partying but at least as of now it doesn't seem to be affecting his job. As some have pointed out, hosting The Tonight Show is a rigorous gig and Fallon has yet to drop the ball.

Currently Booming: Brian Williams Already Throwing His Weight Around at MSNBC

Brian Williams has only been back on the air for a few short weeks and already he is making his presence felt behind the scenes at MSNBC. Williams, the former anchor of NBC Nightly News, caught a break earlier this year when the network decided to shift him over to the ratings-challenged MSNBC rather than flat out firing him. Williams was sidelined with a six month suspension after being caught embellishing several of his news reports and rather than returning with a bit of humility, his known ego is still front and center.

According to a report by Page Six, "Brian has been going to town at MSNBC, He’s dictating personnel changes.” Pat Burkey — Williams’ executive producer at NBC’s “Nightly News” who remained when Williams was suspended and Lester Holt got the gig — was relegated this week to executive producer in charge of afternoon news coverage at MSNBC. “Pat’s going with Brian, but it’s being looked at like a demotion,” said a source.

That situation is only one example of Williams insisting that MSNBC cater to his demands and his co-workers are reportedly furious because it has cost several people their jobs. Are you surprised that the network kept Williams on board at all?  It seems an incredibly tough task to expect a credibility-challenged former anchor to save a network that itself is known for credibility issues, doesn't it?

'Friends' Deleted Scene from 9/11 Surfaces

It seems like there are an awful lot of us out here missing Friends. I say that because just about any day of the week you can catch episodes in syndication, plus Netflix has the entire series for play of demand. One of the deleted scenes from the show first surfaced online 8 years ago but it has taken until this week for it to go viral. Apparently it was edited out shortly after 9/11 because watching Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry) make a bomb threat comment in an airport was no longer funny. You can check out the deleted scene above. Anything new from this beloved show is like finding gold, right?

Sharon Stone Throws Shade at 'Law & Order: SVU' in New Interview

Sharon Stone is revealing herself in a big way in the new September issue of Harper's Bazaar and I'm not just talking about the series of nude photos that accompany her exclusive interview either. The iconic Hollywood actress gets real about her rise and fall in Tinseltown and how she had to humble herself to reclaim her position as an A-list contender. Part of that included a stint on NBC's Law & Order: SVU back in 2010 that the actress might rather forget.

In speaking with Harper's, Stone got real and explained the struggle of working in television and how it ended up feeling like a seriously humbling experience.

“That was humiliating. Having worked with the finest people in the industry, I was like, ‘Wow, I’m really at the back of the line here. I’m wearing L’eggs panty hose, and in makeup they start out by putting this white primer on my face.’ I’m like, ‘This is so bad. What did I do to deserve this?’ [Then] I thought, ‘You know what? I got thrown off the bullet train, and now I’m going to have to crawl up a hill of broken glass, get back on the train that’s going a million miles an hour, and work my way from the cattle car up. That’s just the way it is, so I’d better get humble and shut the f–k up and do the job. Because if I can’t do this job, I’m certainly not going to be able to do anything else.’ ”

That's an interesting take on working for one of Dick Wolf's legendary shows. Usually we hear of actors and actresses being grateful to snag a guest stint on any of the shows that have been a part of the Law & Order trifecta. Do you think that Stone's experience is actually a fairly common one and other performers just dared not to complain?

Brian Williams Off Suspension, Heading to MSNBC in September

Brian Williams six month suspension without pay from NBC quietly ended last week. Back in February the popular news man was removed from the NBC Nightly News anchor spot because he was caught and later admitted to embellishing a story about being shot down in a plane in Iraq.  The network imposed a six month suspension and when they did some digging NBC turned up several other instances where Williams was caught being dishonest. His lies eventually cost him the coveted top seat at the network but Williams somehow still does have a job waiting for him over at the always-struggling MSNBC.

Rather than firing him outright, NBC news honcho Andy Lack instead decided to create a position for Williams at the sister-network. Beginning in September he will be in charge of breaking news segments for MSNBC. While Williams should be thanking his lucky stars that he has a job, rumor has it that MSNBC is none to happy to be stuck with him. The network's ratings are dismal and they are struggling with credibility issues as a whole so bringing in Williams, with his reputation in shambles hardly seems the best move.

Still, Lack is hoping that Williams presence will somehow not only steady the ratings, but also prompt people to tune in to watch his exclusive coverage of important breaking events. Jimmy Fallon Inks Six Year Deal for 'The Tonight Show'

Are you a fan of Jimmy Fallon? Do you love the job that he does hosting The Tonight Show on NBC? If so then you're going to be thrilled to hear that the network has locked the comedian in, for a long time. Just a few short months after celebrating his one-year anniversary with the show we're hearing that Fallon has inked a new deal that will keep him hosting The Tonight Show for another 6 years.

According to a new report by Page Six, Fallon has signed a contract that will ensure that he stays with NBC through 2021. While some are a bit surprised that Fallon would agree to such a long term contract he has made it very clear that he is having the time of his life playing with his guests on The Tonight Show.
