You guys remember Animotion, right? They had that hit song called "Obsession" that will now probably be stuck in your head for the rest of the day simply because I mentioned it. Well, back in 1989 they also had another hit, "Room To Move" which featured Cynthia Rhodes (ex-wife of Richard Marx) and Paul Engemann on lead vocals. It was featured in the 1988 science-fiction comedy film, My Stepmother Is an Alien and reached number 9 on Billboard's Hot 100.

Believe it or not the lineup on "Room To Move" is almost entirely different from the group that first broke through back in 1984. The original band, led by Astrid Plane and Bill Wadhams, has reunited

in recent years and continues to perform. The lineup that featured Rhodes and Engemann was short lived but they did produce a great song so check it out below!

I think that Richard Marx's "Angelia" ends up being a bit of a lost hit- not that it wasn't popular. The song went to #4 on Billboard's Hot 100 in 1989, it's just that I think some of his other songs have appeared to be more memorable to the masses. But for me, it has always been one of his very best. There's a kind of cool story about it too. Apparently, "Angelia" is Marx's favorite song off of his second album, Repeat Offender and he fashioned it off of the riffs from Def Leppard's Hysteria and Pyromania albums. What's ironic is that after "Angelia" was released Def Leppard then came back and used its' musicality to inspire "Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad".

Pretty cool how the sound came full circle between both artists. I've just always loved the sound and I remember loving the video when it was first released. It just had a different, more grown-up vibe to it that I really still love. Check it out below!

But the follow-up single I couldn't get enough of. "Should've Known Better".  And the video that went with it. Marx wasn't exactly my type at the time. I preferred men with bigger hair, lipstick, and spandex, but I played his debut album into the ground.

Many years later I'll readily admit to listening to Marx quite often and "Should've Known Better" is still my favorite. He has also aged like a fine wine and is far more handsome to me now than in 1987. Daisy Fuentes (his wife since Dec. 2015) is a lucky woman. Plus it's nice to see a celeb couple that genuinely seems happy together. Check out "Should've Known Better". below.

Did you know that Richard Marx married Daisy Fuentes late last year after a very hush-hush courtship? Decades before the two linked up Marx found success bouncing between top 40 pop rock hits and ballads. "Should've Known Better" is the second single off of his self-titled debut album from 1987. The song made it to #3 on Billboard's Hot 100 and helped to make Marx a household name.

Lyrically, this is another of those timeless songs that connects with people on any given day. If you woke up this morning wishing that you'd never have fallen in love with someone in particular than this is for you!

Richard Marx threw everyone a curve ball a little while ago by announcing that he and longtime love, Daisy Fuentes have married. The happy couple swapped vows on Dec. 23rd in Aspen!
