Currently Booming: Was Bobbi Kristina Ready to Go to Rehab Before Tragic Accident?

(Photo: Twitter)

Nearly four months after the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown we're now learning that while her life with boyfriend, Nick Gordon appeared to be completely out of control, her family was actively trying to get her help. In recent weeks several friends of the troubled star have spoken on the record about her extreme drug use in the weeks leading up to her being face down in a tub full of water and how she was in really rough shape. While Whitney Houston's daughter may have tried to hide her addiction from family members, they still knew exactly what was going on.

According to an interview Brown's aunt, Pat Houston gave to People magazine, rehab was to be her next stop. "I decided she was going to rehab because that’s where we had called to set up for her to go. She didn’t make it. She found out that I was coming for her, not to do an intervention, because I didn’t want to go through that with her. I just wanted her to come back and talk to me so we could figure out how this was going to take place because she needed to go.”

It must be devastating for the family now to think that if they had intervened sooner then Brown might still be alive today, right? In the months since her death, Brown's estate has filed a suit against Gordon, alleging that he gave her a hot shot of drugs and then placed her in the bathtub where she nearly drowned. He has been under investigation for most of this year but as of yet, no criminal charges have been filed against him.

Do you think that Gordon will ever be held legally accountable for Brown's death?

Currently Booming: Bobbi Kristina's Brown's Hospice Caregiver was NOT a Real Nurse

Photo: Instagram

There's a stunning new development connected to the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, one that actually isn't connected to Nick Gordon, her former boyfriend. Brown spent nearly six months comatose after nearly drowning in her own bathtub and part of that time was spent at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Georgia. We're now learning that a woman in charge of Bobbi Kristina Brown's care at the hospice where she died was impersonating a nurse and faces charges that include identity fraud and nursing without a license.

Taiwo Sobamowo was the nurse in charge of caring for Brown but according to a police report, she was not actually licensed. The hospice CEO, Mallie Sharafat issued a statement yesterday saying, "We had no reason to believe that she was anything other than a good nurse with proper credentials. As soon as the credentialing discrepancy was discovered by one of our employees, we immediately took action and notified the appropriate authorities."

Peachtree has since taken steps to re-credential all of its employees but there are still a multitude of questions regarding Brown's care that this development has raised. Do you think that the Houston and Brown families will now launch an investigation of their own to see if Sobamowo make errors in caring for Bobbi Kristina?  Also, if this the opening that Gordon has been waiting for to try and pin blame on someone else?

Up until now Gordon has been under investigation and there are a lot of unanswered questions about how Brown ended up in that bathtub and what events lead to that moment when she was discovered. Are we going to see Gordon try and take all of the fingers that have been pointing at him and spin them in a different direction?

Currently Booming: Bobbi Kristina's Estate Accuses Nick Gordon of Giving Her 'Toxic' Injection

(Photo: Instagram)

Did Nick Gordon play a purposeful role in the ultimate death of Bobbi Kristina Brown? Well, that is what her estate has alleged for months now and this past week they filed more detailed court documents, explaining what they believed transpired in Brown's final hours of life.

According to a report by TMZ, "The estate just filed legal docs alleging Nick and Bobbi Kristina got into a violent fight, after which he somehow injected her with a "toxic mixture," which rendered her unconscious. The docs claim Nick then placed his girlfriend face down in the tub, which ultimately caused her death."

The autopsy results are in on the official cause of Brown's death but supposedly neither side in the civil suit has seen them yet, only the family reportedly has. If there was nothing that would lend itself to the ongoing criminal investigation then it seems fairly likely that the results would have been made public by now just to put all questions to rest once and for all. The fact that information is being withheld does seem to point to their being something that can connect Gordon to his girlfriend's untimely death.

While we still don't actually know what occurred on that night back in January that led to Brown spending the next several months comatose we do know that Gordon is prepared for the worst, as he has hired the same legal team that helped Casey Anthony to escape a conviction in the death of her daughter. Do you think that charges are coming for Gordon or will this case just linger with no real closure for the Brown family?

Currently Booming: Brian Williams Debuts on MSNBC

(Photo: Twitter)

Brian Williams made a somewhat triumphant return to the anchor desk yesterday when he took over the afternoon coverage on MSNBC. Williams first task is to report on Pope Francis' visit to the United States which means that he was brought in the door with a decent breaking story to kick off this phase of his career.

By now everyone knows that the former NBC Nightly News anchor sat out a six-month suspension for lying on air about his active involvement in several of the stories that he was hired to report on. While Williams never fully admitted to lying it is obvious that he had developed quite a pattern of "misremembering". While many insiders believed that he would and should ultimately be fired from NBC, the powers-that-be opted to reassign him to the ratings-challenged MSNBC instead.

In other words, this guy with serious credibility issues has been brought in to help save a network that also has credibility issues. That seems like a pretty tough task to master, doesn't it? We know that Williams is scheduled to handle any breaking news between the hours of 3-5 p.m. weekdays on MSNBC. Do you support NBC giving him an opportunity to redeem himself and if so, do you think that it's a realistic possibility that he can do so and give MSNBC a boost as well? Or is his coming back just a pipe dream?

You can check out Williams first broadcast on MSNBC right here.

Currently Booming: DA Reportedly Preparing to File Criminal Rape Charge Against Bill Cosby

In less than a year about fifty different women have come forward with claims that Bill Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted them on various occasions. What's interesting is that these women had never met before coming forward yet they all have had a similar story to tell. Cosby's team of lawyers has emphatically denied any wrongdoing and has basically written off everything as an attempt to ruin the legendary comics career. Many of the allegations of inappropriate behavior were from incidents that reportedly occurred decades ago, but one case in Philadelphia is getting a second look, with charges looking like a real possibility.

More than ten years ago former Temple University athlete Andrea Constand alleged that Cosby drugged and raped her at his mansion. Constand eventually reached a monetary settlement with Cosby and then-District Attorney Bruce Castor declined to pursue criminal charges. That case is now getting a second look thanks to a recent deposition of Cosby's that leaked. In it he admitted to much of the behavior that his legal team has publicly denied and that has prompted a Philadelphia DA to take a second look.

According to a report by Radar Online, "He’s been told to expect charges. Because of everything that has come out, law enforcement from Philadelphia to L.A. are looking for any loophole that could send him to jail. They think they’ve found one." explains an insider.

While there is little doubt that this scandal has cost Cosby his career- he doesn't even have a manager attempting to get him work- many have wondered if it would ever lead to real charges and potential jail time. Do you think that the Philly case will actually stick to the fallen star?

Currently Booming: Bobby Brown Gives First Interview After Bobbi Kristina's Death

It has only been a few short months since the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, but her father, Bobby Brown has already sat down for an interview to discuss just how difficult this year has been. On an episode of The Real that will air later today, Brown talks about how hard the family prayed for six months before coming to the realization that it was time to let Bobbi Kristina join her mother, Whitney Houston, on the other side. You can check out a preview of the interview above.

Nick Gordon Paid for Staged Photos at Bobbi Kristina's Grave

Bobbi Kristina Brown's former boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was banned from her funeral but recently made the journey to New Jersey to visit her grave. What many would have believed to be an extremely personal, private moment was actually bought and paid for by a tabloid. As it turns out, dollar signs might have been the main motivator in getting Gordon to visit Brown's final resting place.

According to a report by Page Six, "Grieving Nick Gordon — who was banned from girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral by her dad, Bobby Brown, and is facing a wrongful-death suit in her catastrophic passing — was paid $40,000 for photos and video of his so-called “secret pilgrimage” to her grave."

Apparently, the National Enquirer paid for the sad photo shoot and the pics are featured in their latest edition on newsstands now. Gordon needs the cash because not only has he been cut off from Brown's fortune, but her estate has also filed a $10 million dollar wrongful death civil suit against him. It has been alleged that Gordon plied Brown with a lethal cocktail of drugs and then placed her face down in the bathtub where she was eventually found.

Gordon's team helped to broker the photo deal because it ensured that they would be paid something. In the meantime, the DA's office is still mulling over evidence and deciding whether or not to criminally charge Gordon in connection with Brown's death. Do you think that will eventually happen as well as him battling the civil suit?

Hospice Photo of Bobbi Kristina Brown Hits the Internet

Several weeks ago there was a rumor circulating that a family member had snapped a photo of Bobbi Kristina Brown as she lay dying in her hospice bed and that the photo was in fact being shopped to the media. The family was knee-deep in grief at the thought of losing Whitney Houston's only child and likely wasn't watching out for others with a money-making agenda. Unfortunately just a few days after Brown has been laid to rest that photo has surfaced.

Apparently the National Enquirer was the highest bidder because the last living photo of Brown is featured on the cover of their new issue that hits grocery store racks today.  The fact that Brown is pictured looking peaceful, surrounded by flowers and photos of her mother doesn't seem to lessen the feeling that this is an invasive photo that the general public likely didn't need to see.

Supposedly another photo of Brown was snapped last weekend during her viewing. Chances are that if that rumor is true then it will be on next week's cover of the same tabloid because both photos were very likely to have been taken by the same person.  Do you think that last photos like the one of Brown in her hospice bed should be fair game for the press?

D.A. Actively Seeking to Charge Nick Gordon With Manslaughter in Bobbi Kristina's Death

It has been widely reported ever since Bobbi Kristina Brown was found submerged in her bathtub, that her boyfriend, Nick Gordon would ultimately be found to blame. Her initial autopsy was completed earlier this week, with no obvious cause of death being found just yet but prosecutors are still seeking to piece together a case against Gordon. At the very least it is now believed that the D.A. is pushing for a manslaughter charge to be filed.

How is that possible at this point in time? Well, Gordon has said from the start that he and Brown did drugs together on the morning that she was found nearly drowned and there is a witness, good friend Max Lomas. He is currently charged with two felonies in an unrelated case in Georgia and prosecutors are hoping that if they sweeten his deal then Lomas will roll on Gordon. The chance of Lomas deciding to save himself is pretty good and as I've told you before, Gordon has already hired Casey Anthony's legal team to get him through this mess.

Gordon is still with his mother in Florida and reportedly banned from Brown's funeral. He did raise eyebrows earlier today by wearing her engagement ring on a chain around his neck. Do you think that he is going to ultimately be facing charges in connection with BK's death?  Is he actually an innocent man that is being treated like a criminal? Tell me your thoughts in the comments below!

Nick Gordon Reportedly on Suicide Watch After Bobbi Kristina's Death

Nick Gordon must be an absolute mess of emotions right now. While he is used to not having contact with longtime love, Bobbi Kristina Brown, the reality that she has died now makes an eventual reconciliation impossible. Gordon was there when Brown was found submerged in a bathtub last January and her family has banned him from having contact with her ever since. Both the Houston's and the Brown's seem to strongly believe that her accident was the result of abuse at Gordon's hands and we're hearing that he is now on a suicide watch.

According to a source for Hollywood Life, "Nick is on suicide watch. He is out of control with regret and sadness. He keeps saying that if only [Bobbi Kristina] had heard his voice, things would have been different. She may have lived.”  Several weeks after Brown's medical crisis began Gordon decided to go to rehab to clean up his act. He was released back in May and has been living with his mother in Florida while trying to stay clean.

This case has been in the hands of the DA's office almost from the start and in recent weeks we have heard that it was basically being treated like a murder investigation. While Gordon has insisted that he didn't lay a finger on Brown he also has hired Casey Anthony's power house legal team to guide him through whatever comes next.

While he is obviously grieving the loss of Brown, Gordon likely understands that his own freedom and future is now potentially at risk as well. Do you think that once an autopsy is complete a murder charge will likely be filed against Gordon? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!

Bobbi Kristina Brown Dead at Age 22

Sad news this evening as it has been confirmed that Bobbi Kristina Brown has finally died in a hospice care center near Atlanta. Her death at this point was expected, as family members decided to take her off of life support medication a month ago, but that doesn't make the situation any easier to swallow. Her family issued a statement confirming the news just a little while ago saying,

"Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

Brown was discovered full submerged in her bathtub on January 31 and never regained consciousness in spite of her family's best attempts at medical intervention. Over the last six months the Houston's and Brown's have often been divided over how to best care for her but in the last several weeks they appeared to be in total agreement that it was finally time to let Brown go.

While the physical suffering has finally ended it's likely just the beginning for Brown's family who will be looking for both justice and money. Brown's longtime boyfriend, Nick Gordon has been under investigation since January with the DA's office alluding to the fact that this would ultimately shift into a murder investigation. Apparently Gordon is expecting to get nailed with charges because last month he retained Casey Anthony's legal team to help steer him through whatever comes next.

Funeral arrangements for Brown haven't been announced yet and an autopsy is expected this week to help pin point the exact cause of her death.
